- Architect Charles Hsueh's expertise and experience covers public works and various building types. His work represents his insistence on high professional quality, and always leads role models in Taiwan:
- 1. Dedicated in integrating concepts with technologies in early skyscraper design: The project Asia-Pacific Financial Plaza which is an super-high tower won the design award of energy saving by the Ministry of Interior in 1994. It is the pioneer of Taiwanese skyscrapers.
- 2. Taimall Nakan Shopping Center is the first shopping mall combining the feature of sport entertainment, leisure facilities, recreation, restaurants, and shopping in Taiwan. After the completion in 1994, it became the prototype of Taiwan's large-scale mall and made a significant contribution to the Economic restructure of Taiwan. This project won the honor of 24th International Design and Development Awards by International Council of Shopping Center.
- 3. Taipei Fubon Manor, located in Xinyi District and completed in 2003, was the first residential green building at that time. The goal of the project is to adopt the most cutting-edge technology in the aspects of bio-ecology, energy saving, carbon reduction and health environment. This project won the 2003 National Gold Medal of Architecture Award.
- 4. Taiwan High Speed Rail Taiching Station is finished in year 2005.It is the most outstanding and reputable station design in the first stage construction of 6 THSR stations.
- 5. The planning and design of Nankang Software Park for Taipei City Government spotlight on designing flexible office spaces and practicing energy-savings in the office building by installing two layers of Low-E glass curtain wall system which resists radiation and provides great insulation.
- 6. Mr. Hsueh won the Ninth Annual Award of the most distinguished Architect of the Republic of China in 2007. Early in 1998, together with the Fubon developer, Architect.
- 7. As a Registered Architect, Mr. Hsueh cooperated in an international cooperation with Toyo Ito & Associates Architects(Japan) Architect on designing FUBON Taichung WuChun Building Project in year 2010.
- 8. As a Registered Architect, Mr. Hsueh cooperated in an international cooperation with Robert A.M. Stern Architects (RAMSA, USA) Team of Pheonix / FUBON DHS Building Project in year 2011.
- Beside architecture practicing, as early as 1998, Architect Hsueh co-worked with the Fubon developer and contributed his long-term experience and sharp observation to promote the advanced concepts of real estate securitization as the strategies of sustainable assets for operation and financial management. In 2003, Mr.Hsueh assisted the Government to activate Real Estate Securitization Bill successfully, and in 2005, Mr. Hsueh is credited with the success launching the first domestic real estate investment trusts case.
- On academic aspect, Architect Hsueh is an outstanding alumnus and the Golden Eagle Award winner of Tamkang University, Department of Architecture. As an Associate Professor named by Ministry of Education of R.O.C , Mr. Hsueh generously and selflessly share his knowledge and experience during lecturing Architectural design for a fifth-grade class in Tam Kang University.
